This page links to the original audio recorded during the Elders' Panel, August 14-15, 2009.

The recordings are password protected. If you are interested in accessing the audio files, please send an email to Olga AT lithophile DOT com, stating how you intend to use the materials. If your request is approved, we will send you the password.

The Elders retain authorship and copyright of their recordings. You are welcome to cite their statements, as long as they are properly referenced and spelled correctly. We suggest that they be referenced as follows:

(NAME OF ELDER). 2008. Statement made on (DATE) at the Elders' Panel of the Climate, Language, and Indigenous Perspectives Workshop, held at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks (August 13-15, 2008). Sponsored by the Alaska Native Language Center and the Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy. Available online at http://www.lithophile.com/olga/clip/clip-recordings.html.

Much of the audio here has not been transcribed. Instead of transcripts, we give short descriptions of the content of each audio file next to the link to the file. Since the native languages were an important aspect of this workshop, we note which language was used by the speakers.
