Verbs with Ł-classifier
Introduction
The Ł-classifier is very frequent, so it is important to know how it works. Some things are different than with the Ø- and D-classifiers:
- In the first person singular, the Fricative Deletion Rule applies. Thus, no sh marks the first person singular.
- In the second person singylar, the N~i-Rule applies.
- In the second person plural, the Fricative Deletion Rule also applies. Thus, no h marks the second person plural.
Therefore, the combination of person prefixes and Ł-classifier look like:
| 1st Sg. | e( |
| 2nd Sg. | i- ł- |
| 3rd Sg. | Ø- ł- |
| 1st Pl. | ch'- ł-* |
| 2nd Pl. | e( |
| 3rd Pl. | q- ł-* |
*: Some prefixes can come between ch'- or q- and the Ł-classifier.
