Verb forms in the present tense

Let's have a look at our first verb form with a D-classifier.

This verb has a gh-prefix that precedes the first person singular, second person singular, and second person plural prefix, but follows the first person plural, third person plural, and third person object prefix. It is intransitive. Its theme is gh+D+nu, and it means work.

The n~i-Rule applies.


1st Sg. gheshtnu I work
2nd Sg. ghitnu you (sg.) work
3rd Sg. ghetnu s/he works
1st Pl. ch'ghetnu we work
